Newtgat is a newt piñata, although its design more closely resembles axolotls. It loves watercress, but can be a bit of a nuisance to keep around due to its feud with Lickatoads.

Newtgat can evolve into Salamango.

Trivia

While it is named after a newt, Newtgat seems to more closely resemble juvenile salamanders. It may also be based off the axolotl, a species of salamander that remains in its fully aquatic juvenile form its whole life.
