The game will begin at level 1, with your earliest levels obtained over the course of the tutorial. Leveling up is very important as it unlocks new seeds, new piñatas, new shops will open up, more threats will come to terrorize your garden, and new titles and upgrades will be granted to you as you advance in the levels. You will continue to climb up in levels even after obtaining the highest title possible, however at this point it is more a way to track your progress to 100%.

=== Pocket Paradise ===
In ''Pocket Paradise,'' levels work drastically differently from the console games. Experience points do not exist in this game, and level is instead determined by meeting a certain threshold of completion percentage. Additionally, there are only 10 total levels to achieve. Much like in the console games, each new level unlocks numerous new abilities, items and piñatas. Also like the console games, the smaller blue petals around the clock can be used to track how close you are to leveling up.
