- In accordance with its mythical inspiration, Salamangos are referred to as "FireSalamander" in the game files.
- The fire salamander is a real animal known for its toxic skin secretions, which can cause irritation when touched. Combined with its amphibious nature, this led to a long-standing cultural association with fire, from which the animal takes its name.
