Fudgehogs and tarmac, eternally pressed together in the kind of passionate embrace that may remind you of the tragic end of Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet. This is how they will be remembered, not with a bang but with a squelchy whimper.

Fudgehog is a colorful and strangely shaped hedgehog piñata. With its fussy nature and love of thistles, the Fudgehog can be tricky to convince to stay in your garden.

Fudgehogs appear frequently in material outside the games, and could be considered one of the series' mascots.

Trivia

  • The patterns on Fudgehog's back were originally yellow and orange, but after learning that the piñata would be starring in the animated series, senior concept artist Ryan Stevenson changed the design to be more colorful, giving the species its iconic rainbow color scheme.
    • The original orange color scheme can still be seen in the final game, in paintings on the walls of certain house interiors.
  • Fudgehog’s journal entry references the common occurrence of hedgehogs as roadkill, particularly in the United Kingdom, where Rare is based and hedgehogs are native.
