Chippopotamus is a large blue hippo piñata species. It is among the largest piñatas, and the largest that inhabits water. To meet its requirements, the garden must be heavily flooded and contain a large supply of food.

Chippopotami must have the worst glands in the entire animal kingdom. I mean, they don't eat a lot, not really, but you never see a slim one.

Leafos Gossip

  • "This is a really secret tip, feed a Rashberry with 10 pumpkins and it'll grow into a Chipopotamus. Don't tell anyone else." (False)

Trivia

  • In Trouble in Paradise, a sleeping Chippopotamus blocks the Goobaa’s path. Three Candaries are required to wake it and clear the obstruction. The Chippopotamus displays its full blue-and-yellow color scheme rather than a simple black-and-white, suggesting it is domesticated rather than wild; however, its owner is unknown.
  • Most species in Pocket Paradise have exactly the same requirements as in the original, but Chippopotamus' requirements have been made substantially easier.
    • Curiously, its resident requirements have a typo-- all of the flowers it needs to eat are pluralized, despite only needing to eat one of each.
