Computer Records are a new type of completion requirement added in Trouble in Paradise. In the cutscene that plays when starting a new garden, Professor Pester breaks into a Piñata Central facility and attempts to steal the piñata files from its computer system, but a Ruffian accidentally deletes them all instead. The player is therefore tasked with restoring these records to Piñata Central's database. There is one computer record for each species, and each record can be restored by simply sending a member of that species to a party. This nets the player an award and some experience points.

Trivia

  • When a computer record is restored, an Alert appears notifying the player that they have received an award for sending the species to a party. However, this award is not shown under the "Piñata Awards" section of the journal and is instead listed under its own "Computer Records" section.
