Bartholomew (or Bart for short) is the man who runs Bart's Exchange. He is the local tinker (or Transmogrifiable Item Technician as he prefers), and can be hired to transform one item into something new.
Biography
In the first game and Pocket Paradise, Bart enters the garden somewhat differently from the other villagers. Instead of running down the hill to the garden, his hat magically appears just outside the garden's borders, and he emerges from beneath, seemingly up out of the ground. To return home, he tosses his hat on the ground and jumps into it, after which the hat disappears.
In Trouble in Paradise, Bart enters the garden by running downhill from the Village, just like the other villagers.
