Trivia
- Candary is the only piñata to have had its evolution method changed between games. This caused a lot of confusion for players, who were used to the original method from the first game.
- Candary's mining ability, and its corresponding association with the gas mask accessory, is a reference to the historical use of real canaries in mines to alert workers of toxic gases. This is also the origin of the phrase "canary in the coal mine".
