Thistle is a spiny weed that can grow in your garden. It is the first weed you will see in the game, and has the largest variety of uses out of any weed. It is grown from a thistle seed.
Appearance
The thistle is a thin plant with no leaves. It is covered in red spines, and is topped with a spiky green bulb with a purple flower.
Effects
Piñatas that come in close contact with the thistle will be zapped by the plant. This will make piñatas angry, turning red and causing them to start fights with other piñatas in the garden.
Uses
The thistle has the most uses out of any weed. That combined with not being particularly dangerous, makes the thistle a surprisingly useful plant.
- Eating a thistle will transform a White Flutterscotch into a Purple Flutterscotch.
- Having thistles in the garden will help fulfill the requirements for Fudgehogs and Shellybeans.
- Eating thistles will help fulfill the romance requirements for Mothdrops in Viva Piñata.
- Eating a thistle will unlock the purple variants for Doenut and Sparrowmint.
- Eating a thistle will cause the Cocoadile, Lemmoning, and Profitamole to do a trick.
