Every garden has to start somewhere, and it's harder to keep Whirlms out than it is to keep them in. Ancient wisdom says: 'Whirlms are the foundation of any successful garden'. Please don't confuse them for stomach parasites.

Whirlms are small worm piñatas, and are the foundation to any garden. Needing very little to be happy, these are usually the first species to reside in the garden.

Whirlms are used in the tutorial of the original Viva Piñata and in Pocket Paradise. They help teach the player the basics of attracting piñatas, changing their names, and romancing them. In Trouble in Paradise, this role is instead filled by Bispotti.

Description

Appearance

Whirlms are very simple in appearance, bright orange in color with red and green patterns. Their head and body are all part of one shape, making them look like a short round worm.

Behavior

Whirlms make a squeaky sounding noise, and are often seen rolling around the garden like a wheel. Doing this lets the Whirlm move surprisingly fast. They can also sometimes be seen digging into the ground and popping back up again.

Being the simplest piñata to care for, Whirlms are happy to simply exist in the background as the player builds up their garden. They get along well with most any species, and can only cause trouble by eating things they shouldn’t, such as sour sweets.

Errors

  • In Classic, the requirements for the pink and green variants are mislabeled as requiring a water lily flower and a watercress flower, instead of their respective seeds.

Trivia

  • The pinwheel-shaped Alert icon that appears when a piñata becomes a resident is made up of multicolored Whirlms.
