Candary is a bright yellow canary piñata. It is evolved from a Sparrowmint who enjoys similarly yellow flowers.

Not only is the Candary small and yellow, but it can "detect" poison gas in mines. No doubt this could make a miner's life much more productive. Candaries - not only pretty but practical too.

Leafos Gossip

  • "I'm sure I saw a Sparrowmint swallow a small bit of yellow litter that was floating in the breeze once and it turned it into something yellow itself."

Trivia

  • Candary is the only piñata to have had its evolution method changed between games. This caused a lot of confusion for players, who were used to the original method from the first game.
  • Candary's mining ability, and its corresponding association with the gas mask accessory, is a reference to the historical use of real canaries in mines to alert workers of toxic gases. This is also the origin of the phrase "canary in the coal mine".
