Were there prehistoric Piñatas? I thought Piñatas were discovered in China by Marco Polo who then brought them to Europe. The tradition then transferred to South America by Spanish explorers. All this was a long time after dinosaurs. It's as if someone wanted be cool without thinking it through properly. | |

Choclodocus is a dinosaur piñata and the ultimate prize in Trouble in Paradise. Only one Choclodocus can be obtained per save file.
Like the Dragonache, Choclodocus is a special piñata and cannot be found from the wild. It cannot get sick, be broken, sold, romance, wear accessories, or be traded to other players. It can be crated; however, it can only be moved between different gardens within the same save file, meaning it cannot be sent to other players.

Obtaining a Choclodocus
Obtaining a Choclodocus is an even more involved process than its predecessor, and you must have completed several things in your game before you can ever even think about laying your eyes on one.
The Bones
Your first task is to obtain any three colored bones. Colored bones come in three colors-- red, green, and blue. Red bones can be purchased from Costolot's Store starting from level 45. For the blue and green bones, however, you will need to purchase a mine and hire some Diggerlings. The usual mining strategies will work, so just be patient and your desired bones will appear.
Any combination of colors will work-- the only requirement is to have three colored bones total. Once you have three bones, you will need to hire Bart to tinker them into pieces of a dinosaur skeleton. The order in which he tinkers them is very important, as each will result in a different piece of the skeleton. The first will be the skull, then the ribs, and finally the spine. Tinkering a fourth bone will start the cycle over.

The skull will determine what kind of head your Choclodocus will have.
Red Skull - Triceratops
Blue Skull - Brontosaurus
Green Skull - Stegosaurus

The ribs will determine what kind of tail your Choclodocus will have.
Red Ribs - Flat, seven spiked tail
Blue Ribs - Pointed tail, with four long spikes (Stegosaurus tail)
Green Ribs - Tail fan

The spine will determine the color of your Choclodocus.
Red Spine - Pink
Blue Spine - Blue
Green Spine - Green
Because red bones are the only purchasable type of bone, the easiest way to obtain a Choclodocus is to simply tinker three red bones; however, this does not allow for any variation in the resulting piñata's appearance.
The Amber

The next piece you will need is the amber. In order to obtain the amber, you will need to unlock the Wishing Well. In order to unlock the wishing well, you must first unlock the credits. Doing so requires either freeing all blocked piñatas, such as Arocknid or Barkbark, or using the "Piñata People" cheat code. Viewing the credits will unlock the Wishing Well in Costolot's Store, and can be purchased for chocolate coins.
Once the well is placed in your garden, you will discover that Ivor from the previous game is actually stuck down there. While you can't get him out, you can toss down chocolate coins to him in exchange for different rewards. Tossing down 9,999 chocolate coins will cause Ivor to toss up the amber for you.
This will only work the first time you do it. Only one amber exists per save file, meaning you only have one chance to obtain a Choclodocus without completely starting a new game.
Obtaining the Egg

Now that you have the three skeleton pieces and the amber, you will need to have Willy build a Garden Store for you. Place all 3 skeleton pieces you want to use, and the amber, inside the Garden Store. Wait awhile, and look inside. The pieces will have all disappeared, and in their place is your brand new Choclodocus egg.
Hatching the Egg
Like the Dragonache, the Choclodocus egg will not hatch on its own. It also cannot be broken or sold. To hatch the egg, you will need to obtain a Cluckles. Sending it over immediately will not work however. To hatch the Choclodocus, your Cluckles will need to be wearing the Jurassic Hair accessory. Now that it's dressed for the part, your Cluckles will be able to hatch the egg as normal. Now a baby Choclodocus is yours!
Growing the Baby
The Choclodocus will remain in its baby form indefinitely, until it has eaten the following items:
Viva Piñata: Trouble in Paradise
Eating all 5 will cause it to cocoon, and grow up into an adult.
Variants
The Choclodocus does not have traditional variants. Instead, the appearance of your Choclodocus is determined by the order in which you tinker the bones. You can only have one Choclodocus per save file, so be certain you like the variation you choose before placing everything in the Garden Store.

When the game first released, there was a special Piñata Vision card sent to the first 25 people to 100% the game. This card would change your Choclodocus into a special black and neon green variant, called "Elite Neon".[1] Each of these cards was locked to the gamertag of its recipient, but later on, fans reverse-engineered the barcode format and created a variation of the card that wasn't gamertag-locked.
