Loather

Loathers are bomb-like creatures created by Professor Pester. They will do everything in their power to stop piñatas from romancing. They make up the mazes found in the romancing mini-game, and will explode on contact.

Loathers come in a variety of colors, but are most commonly red similar to all other threats to your garden. Loathers are also seen as the attack projectiles of Ruffians, and one capable of talking is seen in the mini-games introduced in Trouble in Paradise.
