Grabbed by the Ghoulies

Grabbed by the Ghoulies was the game that Rare designer Gregg Mayles and his team worked on immediately before Viva Piñata. As such, Viva Piñata includes many references to the game.

• In VP1, a disused "Grabbed by the Ghoulies 2" arcade machine can be seen amongst the junk initially present in the garden.
• The design of Crowla's house is heavily based on that of Ghoulhaven Hall, the primary setting of the game.
• Baron von Ghoul's plane is crashed into the ruins outside the garden.
• Cluckles' house has images of Vampire Chickens on the bags of chicken feed.
