Sour Bonboon is a sour baboon piñata and the sour version of the Bonboon. It is the final sour unlocked in Viva Piñata and in Pocket Paradise, and will come to start fights in your garden.

Tips

While any Syrupent family member will work to tame the Sour Bonboon, the odds of them winning the fight is much better if they are one of the more advanced species. The common Syrupent is very unlikely to win against a Sour Bonboon, unless you have done a lot of training with it in Trouble in Paradise.

While it has the highest chance of winning the fight, going all the way up to a Fourheads is unneccesary, as a Twingersnap is plenty strong enough to defeat the Sour Bonboon quite reliably. A Tussle Tricorn can be equipped to raise the piñata's odds of winning even further. This means to tame the Sour Bonboon, all you will need to do is to breed Syrupents once to obtain a Twingersnap.
