Gameplay
Gretchen begins offering her hunting service to the player starting from level 5. She can be hired to fetch piñatas for you, though only species you have obtained the resident award for can be fetched by her.
She has two tiers of service, standard and express. Standard service is cheaper, but she will take longer to bring back your piñata. Express service is more expensive, but she will return sooner.
Once you have chosen a piñata to fetch, she will leave her shop for awhile. You cannot visit her shop until she returns. Once she does, she will send an alert letting you know she has the piñata you ordered. She will continuously send alerts until you have picked up your piñata. You also cannot order a new piñata until you have dealt with the current one.
You may place the piñata anywhere in your garden, and will be instantly resided without needing to fill out its requirements. You can also have Gretchen release the piñata back to the wild instead, much to her annoyance.
In the original Viva Piñata, you can tell your Dragonache leave your garden, upon which it will fly off elsewhere. If you want your Dragonache to come back, Gretchen will be able to get it for you, free of charge and with no wait time.
In Pocket Paradise, Gretchen takes over the Post Office and Paper Pets, offering their respective services in place of their usual proprietors. She still offers her hunting service as well.
Dragonache, Choclodocus, and every color of Flutterscotch except white cannot be fetched by her. In Pocket Paradise, she cannot fetch a Jeli for you, due to it's status as a special piñata in that game. She has no issue with getting one in Trouble in Paradise however.
Mini-Games

Gretchen can participate in the mini-games introduced in Trouble in Paradise. As an opponent, she will use a Roario.
As a judge in The P Factor, Gretchen prefers high level or high value piñatas. This is the same as Professor Pester, and opposite to Leafos and Nana Urf.
Leafos Gossip
